Planting a New Seed
There’s something almost magical about planting a seed. It’s a small, humble act that carries a powerful promise — that of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. Every seed, no matter how big or small, holds the potential to become something beautiful, but it takes patience, nurturing, and a lot of trust to see it through.
For me, the idea of planting a seed perfectly reflects where I am right now. Not only because I have been planting literal seeds in my garden, but also because I am starting a new journey with an online shop that is more aligned with who I am today. The decision to close my Etsy shop was not a rash one, but rather one that came from God's gentle nudge. In the same way that planting new seeds often requires scrapping the previous year's garden to make room for something new, starting this adventure requires me to close out some old dreams to truly start fresh.
It is only fitting that the first product I will be offering in this new shop is something very close to my heart: sunflower seeds from my own garden. I’ve spent time tending to these seeds, watching them sprout, grow tall, and turn their faces to the sun. I also harvested them when the time was ripe, watched them dry, and collected each individual seed by hand into a big bowl. Sunflowers are such a beautiful symbol — they remind us to stay positive, resilient, and to always look toward the light.
Starting this shop is much like planting those sunflower seeds. It’s a step filled with hope and intention. Just like a seed doesn’t sprout overnight, I know this new venture will require patience and nurturing. While my shop isn’t quite ready to launch yet, I’m actively working behind the scenes to build an inventory that is thoughtful, high-quality, and truly reflects what I hope to bring to my customers. This takes time, and I’m committed to nurturing this new venture with the care it deserves.
I’ll be writing more blog posts along the way to share updates, stories, and a deeper look at what’s coming. When I have a clearer launch date, you’ll be the first to know. I feel so privileged to take you along on this journey — even though things aren’t yet fully “grown,” I believe there’s something special about sharing the process and the hope for what’s ahead, even if the idea has only just sprouted.
There’s a kind of quiet faith in this process — faith in the journey, in the timing, and in the possibilities that lie ahead. Whether you’re planting literal seeds in your garden or starting a new chapter in your own life, the lesson is the same: every big dream begins small, and with the proper care, it can bloom into something wonderful.
Thank you for being here and joining me on this adventure! I’m excited to share more as my shop begins to take shape, and I hope these sunflower seeds bring a bit of sunshine to your life, just like it did to mine.
I’d love to hear from you — what are some seeds, literal and figurative, that you are sowing in your life right now? What new beginnings are you nurturing at the moment?
